A model who learned to act by listening, and an actor who never stopped moving like a model.
Born on 31 October 1991 in Bucheon, South Korea, Byeon Woo-seok began working as a fashion model in 2010. He walked Seoul Fashion Week for several seasons and, in 2015, the menswear shows in Milan.
He turned to acting in 2016 with tvN’s Dear My Friends and worked steadily through supporting parts to his first leading roles in Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency, Record of Youth and Moonshine, which brought him Best New Actor at the 2022 KBS Drama Awards.
The Netflix film 20th Century Girl carried him to a worldwide audience in 2022. Two years later Lovely Runner made Ryu Sun-jae a household name and sent “Sudden Shower” up the charts. Perfect Crown followed in 2026, with Solo Leveling still to come.
